THE INDY BOOK PROJECT
All children need books in their home to thrive. The Indy Book Project wants all children in the Indy area to have access to books. Books change lives. Having access to books in the home is critical to ensure success in school for children.
To do this, we collect books from our community. We then sort, box and get them right back into the hands of children without access to books. All children deserve to have books in their home.
Come join us and make this possible in the Indy area!
Do you have a passion for children and access to books? We'd love for you to get involved. Follow us on Facebook, volunteer and help us spread the word.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Making A Difference
Collect your lightly used or new children's books. Books may be dropped off at 7628 The Commons, Zionsville. They also can be dropped off at Akard True Value in the Boone Plaza in Zionsville and the Boone County Habitat for Humanity. We also pick up books. Contact us and we'll make sure they find their way into the hands of children in our area.
Host a book drive at your school, church, troop, neighborhood or workplace. You can also buy us books from Amazon. Here is our list.
We'd love to have you help us sort books with us. Spend an hour or two sorting, putting stickers on books, counting and boxing up books. So easy that even older children can help! Here is a link to sign-up for a shift. Don't see a day/time that works for you? Please contact us.
The Indy Book Project is looking for partners serving children in our area. Would you like a bookshelf stocked with books for the children that visit with their parents?
Please reach out and together we can provide books for the children you serve.
